Lublin is one of the Polish cities where integration actions have been conducted for many years. The City Office got involved a few years ago in the process commenced by Lublin non-governmental organisations. In 2014, the system of cultural diversity management was established, also the Minority Council and the support group were set up in order to work together on solutions for minorities and migrants. In 2014, the Information Centre for Foreigners was open at 14 Wieniawska Street. Still many services such as free legal counselling and assistance or Polish courses are provided by non-governmental organisations.

Nowadays, there are 3 000 migrants from over 80 countries living, working and studying in Lublin. Ukrainian people constitute the biggest minority in the city.
